What's New: Issue 06, September 2026

New for students and schools every month

Cover story·01 / 09New

Meet Nova, your AI tutor on every student page

Nova already knows the question or lesson you're on, so you can ask for a hint or a quick sketch of a graph without retyping anything. Nova can also start a practice set on your weak topics, and your past chats stay in its history. Every student gets 30 free messages a month, and paid plans get 400.

For students & families·

Nova's chat panel open beside a missed question on the Review page: the student asks for a hint and Nova replies, with the monthly message allowance shown in the panel header.

In this issue

A practice session report's Time per question chart: a bar for each question against the dashed expected-pace line, and hovering the slowest bar shows its time.
New

See how long you spent on every question

Practice and mock exam reports now have a Time per question section. A chart compares each question's time to the expected pace and points out the slowest ones, and you can click a bar to review that question. Teachers see the same view on their students' reports.

Everyone·

The EduPark articles library opens with a search box and six topic hubs; a visitor opens the Study plans hub, then the separate library for educators and schools.
Improved

Find SAT articles by topic in the redesigned library

The articles page now opens with search and six topic hubs, from study plans and scores to choosing prep. Students and families get their own library, and educators get a separate one. Every public EduPark page now shares the same top menu.

Everyone·

Org Settings, AI Tutor Chat card: unticking Let students use the AI tutor turns Nova off for the organization's students, and ticking it turns Nova back on.
New

Choose whether your students can use Nova, the AI tutor

In Org Settings, the Students tab has a Let students use the AI tutor switch, and it starts on. Turn it off and Nova disappears for students who get EduPark only through your organization. Nova also stays asleep during graded vocabulary quizzes and mock exams, so test work is always the student's own.

For educators & schools·

A mock exam report's Integrity signals panel with two High flags, unusually fast correct answers (6 in 10 seconds or less) and leaving the exam screen (8 departures, 2 minutes away, by question), above an estimated score the flags leave unchanged.
New

Spot mock exams that need a second look

Mock exams now flag three warning signs: a student leaving the exam window often, getting several questions right in under 10 seconds each, or suddenly acing hard topics they have been missing. You see a flag and the evidence on the report, and the score never changes. Students get a heads-up when they leave the window, and time in the Desmos calculator never counts as leaving.

For educators & schools·

A practice assignment with results on hold: each student who submitted has a Reveal button; the teacher reveals one student's results, then reveals the rest with Reveal all.
New

Hold assignment results until you're ready to reveal them

Turn on Hold results for a practice set or exam, and students see only that their answers are in. Scores, correct answers and explanations stay hidden until you reveal them, one student at a time or all at once. You can take a reveal back or switch the hold off whenever you like.

For educators & schools·

The dashboard's Needs Attention panel filtered to a Rushing alert: Dismiss all alerts clears it from the list, and Undo on the confirmation brings it back.
Improved

At-risk alerts that only show students who still need you

After you follow up with a student, dismiss their alert, and it comes back on its own if new warning signs appear. A new Rushing alert flags students who answer fast with low accuracy, and you can set your own thresholds under Settings, Students tab. Dismiss all alerts clears the current list in one step, with Undo.

For educators & schools·

The Templates tab on the Classes page, where templates have no dates of their own, then Manage academic years and Copy academic year, which carries a year's classes into the next school year.
Improved

Reuse class templates every school year

Build a class template once and use it every school year, since templates no longer belong to a single year. Each class works out its school year from its own start date, and Copy year carries your classes into the next year.

For educators & schools·

An instructor's search palette (Ctrl+K) finding one of their classes, their assignments and their students by name, only from the classes they teach.
Improved

Instructors can search their classes with Cmd+K

Instructors can now press Cmd+K (Ctrl+K on Windows) or click Search in the sidebar to jump to a student, class or assignment in the classes they teach.
